Welcome to the site.
I have a keen interest to record and share information on the officers who served in the Police Forces that now make up Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

The pre-amalgamation Forces being: -
Wisbech Borough Police 1836 - 1889 amalgamated into Isle of Ely Constabulary
Cambridge Borough Police 1836 - 1951 became Cambridge City Police 1951 - 1965
Isle of Ely Police Cambridgeshire Constabulary 1841 - 1965
Cambridgeshire Constabulary (County) 1851 - 1965
Huntingdonshire Constabulary 1857 – 1965
Peterborough Liberty Police 1857 – 1947
Peterborough City Police 1874 – 1947 in 1947 Peterborough Liberty and City became Peterborough Combined Police.
Unfortunately, very little exists in the way of Personnel Books and Records for these Forces. Information I hold has been obtained from records that have survived, County Records Offices, Newspapers, Online Sites, and family researchers.
A good source of information are photographs, especially if they contain the names of the officers.
If you have come across a distant relative who may have served in one of these Police Forces and want to find out if any information exists, please contact me, and I will do my best to assist or point you in a new direction for assistance.
